WHY 3D PRINTING?

3D printing offers a game-changing solution for producing plastic or resin parts with cost-effectiveness in mind. In contrast to the hefty expenses associated with traditional injection molding, especially for small or one-off orders, 3D printing opens up pathways for affordable manufacturing, making it perfect for your business, DIY projects, scale models and so much more.

WHY 3DBU?

With over five years of experience in the tech field using 3D printers for hands on work or robotics comps, we know what to do to get this to you fast and ready for your use all while maintaining its high quality.

As college students, it's so useful having our four amazing BambuLab printers right here with us. Did you know that 3D printing can save you a lot of money in general? And the best part: it can be environmentally friendly as well.

FUSED DEPOSITION MODELING

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is our fastest and cheapest service to fulfill. FDM printing uses a filament spool to build your models layer by layer.

We currently offer four different kinds of FDM printing:

  • PLA (polylatic acid): PLA is a popular choice when it comes 3D printing. Made from renewable resources such as sugar cane and corn starch, it can also be biodegradable under certain conditions. For safety reasons, PLA does not emit toxins or fumes when melted. PLA is also optimal for prototypes.

    • Offered in black, white, gray, neon green, light blue, and orange.

  • PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol): PETG is another popular choice when it comes 3D printing. It is a thermoplastic that is heavily used in manufacturing. PETG is stronger, allows for good water, heat, and chemical resistance. Due to its durability and resistance to moisture and chemicals, it allows for items made out of PETG to have longer lifespans. P.S. the odorless fumes are a huge plus.

    • Offered in black, white, space gray, army green, blue, and orange.

  • TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane): Flexible, elastic, and durable: TPU has everything you need if you're looking for something different. Think of rubber but better. Although TPU can be more difficult to print with, it's perfect if you're looking for a good bend in material that won't break. P.S. although non-toxic to the skin, it is important to note that the fumes released are not safe to breathe.

    • Offered in white, black, and gray.

  • ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate): ASA is perfect if you're looking for something that adapts better to weather, certain temperatures, and is UV resistant. Many customers tend to use ASA for outdoor projects / activities. This filament is a modified version of another commonly known one called ABS. P.S. may release unpleasant fumes during the manufacturing process

    • Offered in black, white, army green, blue, and orange.
